The healthcare provider can Dial In participant(s) after starting a video.
- Participants may include a family member, caregiver or another healthcare provider who is sharing patient care.
- There can be multiple participants dialed into the video chat.
- All users will hear the dialed in participant's phone ring and them answer.
- If a voice mail or answering machine is picked up, it will be up to the host to remove the participant from the call.
Remember to inform the participant you are dialing in ahead of time, so they are aware and ready to answer the call.
Step 1 - After starting the video chat, click 'Dial In'.
Step 2 - Complete the fields:
- 'Participant's Display Name' (displayed to others in the video chat)
- 'Phone Number*' (remains hidden and is never shared)
Click 'Dial In Now'.
After a brief pause you will hear a ring tone as the system calls the participant. Your consultation screen will change to:
Once they answer, they will appear to and can be heard by all participants on the video chat.
