As a patient's family member, caregiver, or a healthcare provider you may be invited by a healthcare provider to join a scheduled patient consultation. You may join these appointments whether you have a 'SK Virtual Visit' account or not, as long as the host allows you in.
The invitation is sent to you by email or SMS text message, and includes:
- meeting title
- date
- time
- quick link (https://...)
- meeting ID
- meeting passcode
There are three ways to join:
Option 1: Click the 'URL link' provided in the invitation email (no account with SK Virtual Visit required)
Option 2: From the 'SK Virtual Visit' system 'Log-In' screen (before logging into your SK Virtual visit account, if you have one)
Option 3: From the 'SK Virtual Visit' system 'Home' screen (after logging into your account)
Option 1 - Using the URL Link Provided in the Email
Step 1: Click the invitation hyperlink provided in the email.
If the hyperlink does not work, highlight the hyperlink information by moving your mouse cursor over it and clicking the left mouse button once (the entire line should be highlighted), then:
- Copy it to your clipboard. Press Ctrl+C (Windows) or Command+C (Mac) or right-click on your mouse and choose 'Copy'.
- Open your web browser and paste the hyperlink info into it. Click into the address line, press Ctrl+V (Windows) or Command+V (Mac) or right-click on your mouse and choose 'Paste'.
Mobile Device on App: Laptop/Computer on Web:
Step 2 - If prompted on your mobile device, choose 'Continue on Web' or as an option, download the 'SK Virtual Visit' app from your applicable App store.
Step 3 - The Meeting ID and Passcode will automatically generate onto the 'Join a Meeting' screen.
- Add your name to help identify yourself (This step is required to move forward into the Meeting).
- Enable your microphone and camera, then click to remember these settings for future meetings.

Step 4 - It is recommended that you test your audio and video equipment prior to joining the meeting by clicking ‘Test Audio and Video’. The test takes approximately 30 seconds and will let them know the quality of their audio and video.
If at any time you need assistance, click the ‘Help’ button at the bottom and you will be directed to our general support page. It is here where you can find answers to some frequently asked questions or access our online support team, who will be more than happy to assist you.
Step 5 - After the test, click 'Join'.
Wait for the meeting host to 'Admit' you into the meeting.
As a security measure, the healthcare provider must allow you entry into the video chat. Once admitted, you will be taken into the video meeting. If declined, you will receive the following message.
If this is a mistake, contact the meeting host to have another invitation sent to you.
If you drop from the meeting, you may re-enter it, as long as it is still active.
Option 2 - From the Log-In Screen
Step 1 - The “SK Virtual Visit” app will have to be downloaded onto your mobile device:
- iOS for Apple mobile cell phone and iPad products - Apple App Store
- Android mobile products - Google Play Store
OR
Go to https://virtualvisit.saskatchewan.ca/ on your computer or laptop.
Step 2 - On the 'Log In' screen, do not log in. Click 'Join Meeting Now'
Step 3 - Continue with 'Step 3' above.
Option 3 - From the Home Screen if Logged Into a 'SK Virtual Visit' Account (Not Required)
Step 1 - Log into your account on the 'SK Virtual Visit' system.
Step 2 - On the 'Home' screen, click 'Invited to a Meeting?'
