As a clinician, patient, family member, or caregiver, a healthcare provider may send you an invitation to join a video meeting with them. The invitation is usually sent to you by email and includes the meeting title, date, time, a quick link (https://...), the meeting ID and passcode. Note: the meeting ID and Passcode may be provided orally or via SMS text as well.
A 'SK Virtual Visit' account is NOT required to join a video meeting you are invited to.
There are three ways to join:
Option 1: Click the 'https://... quick link' provided in the invitation email (no 'SK Virtual Visit' account is required with this option)
Option 2: From the 'SK Virtual Visit' Log-In screen (no need to login)
Option 3: From the 'SK Virtual Visit' Home screen (after logging into your account)
Option 1 - Using the Quick Link Provided in the Email
(No Account Required)
Step 1: Open the email on the device you are using to attend your video meeting, then click the quick link provided in the email.

If the quick link does not work, copy it, then paste it into the address of a new browser window:
- Copy it to your clipboard - Highlight the quick link info. Press Ctrl+C (Windows) or Command+C (Mac) OR right-click on your mouse and choose ‘Copy’.
- Open your web browser and paste the quick link info into the address bar - Click into the address bar, press Ctrl+V (Windows) or Command+V (Mac) OR right-click on your mouse and choose ‘Paste’.
Step 2 - When using your mobile device, you may be prompted with this green screen, If so, choose...
- 'Continue on Web' OR, as an option,
- Click the quick link to your 'App Store' (Apple iOS) or 'Google Play Store' (android) and download the 'SK Virtual Visit' app. If you do not see this green screen, skip to Step 3.
Step 3 - The 'Join a Meeting' screen:
- The Meeting ID and Passcode will have automatically generated from the information in your email.
- Add your name to identify yourself (required).
- A checkmark should have defaulted beside 'Enable microphone and camera...', as well as 'Remember these settings for future meetings'. Important: whenever prompted always Enable/Allow your microphone and camera.
Step 4 - It is recommended that you test your audio and video equipment prior to joining the meeting by clicking, ‘Test Audio and Video’, then 'Start Test'.

Note: The first time you use the SK Virtual Visit app and 'Test Audio and Video', you will be prompted to Allow access to your camera and microphone.
Either go to your 'Device Settings' to do this OR click ‘Allow’ for both your Camera and Microphone. Click 'OK' (Apple devices) or 'Allow' (Android devices) for each. Apple Device: Android Device:
Step 5 - Ensure your device is on a stable surface and speak, to ensure your camera and microphone are tested properly. The test takes approximately 30 seconds and will let you know the quality of your audio and video and if there are issues.
If the Pre-Call test fails or the results are bad:
- Make sure other applications on your device are not using your microphone/camera or close them.
- Double-check your internet connection.
- Make sure your microphone and camera are Enabled/Allowed under your ‘Device Settings’ for the ‘SK Virtual Visit’ APP.
Step 6 - After receiving a successful test, Go Back to the 'Join a Meeting' screen.
Step 7 - When ready to join your video meeting, click 'Join/Join Meeting' on the 'Join a Meeting' screen.
Wait for the meeting host to 'Admit' you into the meeting.
As a security measure, the meeting host must allow you access. Once admitted, you will be taken into the video meeting. If declined, you will receive the following message.
If this is a mistake, contact the meeting host to have another invitation sent to you.
If you drop from the meeting or 'Leave Call', you may re-enter the meeting, as long as it is still active and has not been 'Ended' by the meeting host.

Option 2 - From the 'SK Virtual Visit' Log-In Screen
(No Account Required)
Step 1 - If using a mobile device, download the “SK Virtual Visit” app or, if using the web on any device, go to the login screen at https://virtualvisit.saskatchewan.ca/

- Android mobile products - Google Play Store
Step 2 - Open the 'SK Virtual Visit' app or the web 'Log In' screen.
Step 3 - Do not enter an email address or password and do not log in. At the bottom of the screen, click 'Join Meeting'.

Step 4 - The 'Join a Meeting' screen:
- Type in the Meeting ID and Passcode manually from the information provided in your email.
- Add your name to identify yourself (required).
- A checkmark should have defaulted beside 'Enable microphone and camera...', as well as 'Remember these settings for future meetings'. If not, check those boxes. Important: whenever prompted always Enable/Allow your microphone and camera.
Step 5 - Continue with 'Step 4' above.
Option 3 - From the Home Screen if Logged Into a 'SK Virtual Visit' Account
Step 1 - Log into your 'SK Virtual Visit' account.
Step 2 - On the 'Home' screen, click 'Join Meeting / Invited to a Meeting?'

- Type in the Meeting ID and Passcode manually from the information provided in your email.
