WHEN YOUR CAMERA AND MICROPHONE ARE BLOCKED ON SAFARI
Step 1 - Open Safari and go to https://virtualvisit.saskatchewan.ca/
Step 2 - Set your permissions by doing the following:
- Navigate to the top of your screen and click on 'Safari', then on 'Settings'.
- Now click on 'Websites'.
- Select the 'Camera' and 'Microphone' tabs separately, and change the access to
- Restart Safari.
ALLOWING YOUR CAMERA AND MICROPHONE FOR THE 'JOIN A MEETING' SCREEN
Step 1 - Start a video meeting or, if an invited participant, proceed to join a virtual meeting you are scheduled for or invited to.
Step 2 - You will be prompted to 'Allow' your camera and microphone. Click 'Allow' for each.
On the 'Join a Meeting' screen, observe the video preview and microphone visualizer.
- You may change your camera or microphone (optional).
- You may 'Run Pre-call Test' (optional).
- You may enable/disable the microphone & camera for when the video call starts. Note: if a user is currently on the phone that is being used to join the video meeting, our platform will automatically disable the video call audio, to allow audio to continue on the phone call. The user does not need to 'uncheck' the 'Enable microphone when the meeting starts' box before joining the video meeting.
- If not already entered, add your Meeting ID and Passcode.
- Enter your name to identify yourself to the meeting host.
WHEN YOUR CAMERA AND MICROPHONE IS BLOCKED ON THE 'JOIN A MEETING' SCREEN
Step 1 - Start a video meeting or, if an invited participant, proceed to join a virtual meeting you are scheduled for or invited to.
Step 2 - You will be prompted to 'Allow' your camera and microphone.
IF you click 'Don't Allow', you will see the following error message, which contains information on why the camera and microphone cannot be accessed, and you will also see instructions on how to resolve the permission issue, based on your browser.

Step 3 - If you choose NOT to grant the permissions, you can click on 'Continue without audio or video' at the bottom of the screen. Note: Doing this will result in delays to your video meeting, as you WILL NOT have any audio or video during it.Yes, I just changed the last part to say "doing this will result in delays to your video meeting, as you will not have any audio or video during it."
