** IMPORTANT **
- Audio and video must be permitted for use within these sessions AND for the browser you are using
- ALWAYS Allow/Enable your camera and microphone WHENEVER PROMPTED
"OH NO - I HAVE BLOCKED MY CAMERA & MICROPHONE"
If you have blocked or denied your camera/microphone when joining a video meeting on the WEB, you will receive this error screen:
- Click the
symbol on the address bar and note your camera and microphone are turned OFF:
- Tap the toggle button for both 'Camera' and 'Microphone' to turn them 'ON'.
- Click out of the permissions box, then reload or refresh the page by clicking onto one of these highlighted buttons...
You will be directed to the 'Join a Meeting' screen.
- Enter your name, click 'Join', then wait in the virtual waiting room for the meeting host to allow you in.
Note: as it's a medical appointment, there could be delays on this screen:
SITE SETTINGS FOR CHROME BROWSER
- Go to the 'Permissions' screen using one of the following two methods:
Method #1: Click the icon to the left of the site address, select 'Site settings' then click here to jump ahead to the 'CHROME Permissions screen' instructions below, OR
Method #2: At the top right of the screen, click the 3 dots (found below the exit 'X'), then select 'Settings'.
- Select 'Privacy and security' (Windows 11) or 'Privacy' (Windows 10), then from the menu in the middle of the screen, click 'Site Settings'.
CHROME Permissions screen:
- Select 'Camera' from the menu in the middle of the screen.
- Ensure the correct camera is selected from the drop-down at the top of the 'Camera' screen.

If 'virtualvisit.saskatchewan.com' appears under 'Not allowed to use your camera' (as shown below), either:
- Click on 'virtualvisit.saskatchewan.com' to open the 'Permissions' screen. Change the status to 'Allow' for both the Camera and Microphone, OR,
- Click the 'garbage icon' to remove the site from the 'Not allowed' list.
- Go back to the previous 'Permissions' screen and repeat these steps for 'Microphone'.
- Go back to the 'Permissions' screen and click the drop-down beside 'Block' for both 'Camera' and 'Microphone' and change to 'Allow'.
ALLOWING YOUR CAMERA AND MICROPHONE BEFORE JOINING A VIDEO MEETING
When you proceed to join a video session, if not already done, you should get prompted by your browser for camera and microphone permissions.
- Always choose 'Allow' for both the Camera and Microphone.
The 'Join a Meeting' screen - observe the video preview and microphone visualizer.
- You may change your camera or microphone (optional).
- You may 'Test Your Connection' (optional).
- You may enable/disable the microphone & camera for when the video call starts. Note: if a user is currently on the phone that is being used to join the video meeting, our platform will automatically disable the video call audio, to allow audio to continue on the phone call.
- Enter your name to identify yourself to the meeting host.
- When ready, click 'Join', then wait in the virtual waiting room for the meeting host to allow you in.
