- Contact your HSP to request having the 'Send Invitation via SMS' feature enabled for your virtual clinic.
- Your patient/participant does not need to log into a 'SK Virtual Visit' account.
On the 'Meeting Join-in Information' screen, click 'Send Invitation via SMS'.
Enter the patient/participant's mobile phone number.
If inviting more than one person, click '+Add Another' and enter their mobile phone number.
Answer 'No' or 'Yes' to the question, 'Are you on a phone call' Note: if you are and answer 'Yes', the phone audio will override the video audio.
When ready, click 'Send Invitations'.
A green banner will appear at the top of your screen, letting you know the invitation(s) did send successfully.
What the Invited Patient/Participant Sees:
Your patient will receive an SMS text message.
They open the text message and click the 'https/...' quick link.
If prompted, they allow their microphone and camera. Note: this prompt may differ depending on what device and browser they are using. Here are a few examples:
The 'Join a Meeting' screen:
- If on the web, you should see yourself in video and see the microphone volume bar moving. Note: you are not yet in the video meeting.
- You may test your audio and video equipment by clicking ‘Test Your Connection/ Test Audio and Video’. The test takes approximately 30 seconds then will provide results.
- The Meeting ID and Passcode will have automatically generated from the information in your email or SMS text message.
- Add your name to identify yourself - REQUIRED.
- It is recommended you leave your microphone and camera ‘ON’ (then may turn the camera OFF and/or mute yourself once in the video, if necessary).
- If you want your camera/microphone settings and name saved for next time, you check ‘Remember my preferences’.
Mobile device on web: Mobile device using the APP:
They will be taken to a screen where they will wait for the meeting host to admit them into the video meeting.
When the meeting is finished, the patient/participant will click 'Leave Call', then 'Yes, Leave call' to confirm.
