A healthcare provider may send you an invitation to join a video meeting with them. You may join these video meetings whether you have a 'SK Virtual Visit' account or not, as long as the meeting host allows you in.
The invitation is sent to you by email and includes:
- meeting title
- date
- time
- quick link (https://...)
- meeting ID
- meeting passcode
There are three ways to join:
Option 1: Using the quick link provided in the invitation email (no 'SK Virtual Visit' account required)
Option 2: From the 'SK Virtual Visit' Log-In screen (no need to login) https://virtualvisit.saskatchewan.ca/app/?screen=login
Option 3: From the 'SK Virtual Visit' Home screen (after logging into your account)
Option 1 - Using the Quick Link Provided in the Email
Step 1: Using the same device you are using to attend your video meeting, open the email and click the 'https://...' quick link provided in the email.
Step 2 - You may be prompted with this green screen. If you do not see this green screen, skip to 'Step 3' below. If you see this screen, choose either:
- 'Continue on Web', OR
- Tap either 'Apple App Store' or 'Google Play Store' and download the 'SK Virtual Visit' app.
Step 3 - You will be prompted to 'Allow' your camera and microphone. Click 'Allow' for each.
Step 4 - The 'Join a Meeting' screen:
- If on the web, you should see yourself in video and see the microphone volume bar moving. If you do not, you may test your audio and video equipment by clicking ‘Test Audio and Video’. You must 'Allow' both your camera and microphone when prompted. The test takes approximately 30 seconds and will let you know the quality of your audio and video.
- The Meeting ID and Passcode will have automatically generated from the information in your email.
- Add your name to identify yourself (your name is required).
- Ensure there are checkmarks beside 'Enable microphone and camera...', as well as 'Remember these settings for future meetings'.
Step 5 - When ready to join the video meeting, click 'Join'.
Step 6 - If you are part of the host’s virtual clinic, you will automatically enter the video meeting.
If you are an invited participant from outside of the host’s virtual clinic, you will have to wait for the meeting host to 'Admit' you into the meeting. Once admitted, you will enter the video meeting.
If declined, you will receive the following message. If this is a mistake, contact the meeting host to have another invitation sent to you.
If you drop from the meeting, you may re-enter it, as long as it is still active.
Option 2 - From the Log-In Screen
Step 1 - If using a mobile device, download the “SK Virtual Visit” app or, if using the web on any device, go to the login screen at https://virtualvisit.saskatchewan.ca/

Step 2: Once downloaded, click ‘Open’ from either the Store OR click the icon on your screen.

Step 3 - Initially, after downloading and first opening the app, you will see this green screen. Click the 'Log In or Sign Up' button. (This screen will only appear the first time you use the APP. Afterwards you will be taken directly to the Login screen after opening the app).
Step 4 - On the 'Log In' screen, do not log in. Click 'Join Meeting'
Step 5 - You will be prompted to 'Allow' your camera and microphone for this website. Click 'Allow' for both.
Step 6 - The 'Join a Meeting screen:
- Type in the Meeting ID and Passcode manually from the information provided in your email.
- Add your name to identify yourself (required).
- A checkmark should have defaulted beside 'Enable microphone and camera...', as well as 'Remember these settings for future meetings'. If not, check those boxes. Important: whenever prompted always Enable/Allow your microphone and camera.
Step 7 - Wait for the meeting host to 'Admit' you into the meeting.
Once admitted, you will be taken into the video meeting.
If declined, you will receive the following message. If this is a mistake, contact the meeting host to have another invitation sent to you.
If you drop from the meeting, you may re-enter it as long as it is still active.
Option 3 - From the Home Screen When Logged In
Step 1 - Log into your 'SK Virtual Visit' account.
Step 2 - On the 'Home' screen, click 'Join Meeting / Invited to a Meeting?'

Step 3 - You will be prompted to 'Allow' your camera and microphone for this website. Click 'Allow' for both.
Step 4 - The 'Join a Meeting' screen:
- Type in the Meeting ID and Passcode manually from the information provided in your email.
- Add your name to identify yourself (required).
- A checkmark should have defaulted beside 'Enable microphone and camera...', as well as 'Remember these settings for future meetings'. If not, check those boxes. Important: whenever prompted always Enable/Allow your microphone and camera.
Step 5 - Continue with 'Option 1 - Step 5' above.
