If your healthcare provider's clinic would like to see you using a virtual patient consultation, they will invite you to join their virtual clinic as a virtual patient. You must accept that invitation using the email they send you and create a 'SK Virtual Visit' account. See - Join Your Healthcare Provider's Virtual Clinic When Invited
When you have a scheduled patient consultation, there are a few ways to enter it after logging into your account.
Option 1: From the 'Home' Screen
Option 2: Under the 'Consultations' tab
Option 1 - From the 'Home' Screen
Step 1 - Log into your 'SK Virtual Visit' account.
Step 2 -
Using the APP:
At the top of the ‘Home’ screen, tap ‘View Your Upcoming Scheduled Appointment’. This message appears for today's appointment(s) only.
Using the WEB:
On the ‘Home’ screen, find and tap on your appointment under ‘Upcoming Appointments’ or ‘Active Appointments’.
Step 3 - Continue with instructions below under 'The Appointment Screen'*.
Option 2 - From the 'Consultations' Tab
Step 1 - While on the ‘Home’ screen, select 'Consults/Consultations'.
Step 2 - Click 'Upcoming' or ‘In Progress’, then find and select your appointment.
Note: Consultations automatically move from ‘Upcoming’ to ‘In Progress’ as soon as any participant, including you or your healthcare provider, joins.
Using the APP:
On the bottom navigation bar, tap Consults > Upcoming > then on appointment
Using the WEB:
On the left navigation bar, tap Consultations > Upcoming > View Appointment

Note: you are not yet in the consultation.
Your scheduled appointment will appear with the following features:
- ‘Invite Participant’ – patients may invite up to 2 guests (family members, caregivers or additional healthcare providers) to join the video portion of their consultation. See article, "Invite a Guest To Join Your Virtual Appointment (Family Member, Caregiver or Another Healthcare Provider)".
- ‘I’m Ready for My Appointment’ – this button will only activate within 10 minutes of your appointment time to prevent patients from entering too early.
- 'Request to Cancel Appointment' - See article, "How to Cancel My Scheduled Appointment".
- ‘Request to Cancel Appointment’ – patients may request
I'm Ready for My Appointment
Select 'I'm Ready for My Appointment' which is highlighted at approximately 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. Until that time it is greyed out and unavailable.
You will be taken into the consultation chat area where you should remain ready and wait for the doctor. This is similar to your doctor's waiting room. The doctor will message in the chat once they enter the consultation. Respond to them with a chat message.
