- SK Virtual Visit has a feature for recording patient consultation video chats.
- As a default, this feature is disabled and requires a request to your HSP to be turned on.
- If enabled, it will be available for ALL healthcare providers within the same virtual clinic.
Contact your HSP to request to have this feature enabled for your virtual clinic:
- SHA – virtualcare@saskhealthauthority.ca
- SCA – virtual.care@saskcancer.ca
- SMA – emr@sma.sk.ca
- ISC – ehealthisc@canada.ca
- Users other than the HSPs mentioned above, contact servicedesk@ehealthsask.ca
Video recordings can take up to an hour to process. |
Once ready to view, they can be found in one of two ways: |
| Option 1: If the consultation HAS NOT been completed and archived by the clinic |
| Option 2: If the consultation HAS been completed and archived by the clinic |

Option 1 - Consultation Not Archived
Step 1 - Click the 'Consults' tab, then select 'Active and Pending'.
Step 2 - Select 'Past & Today' to see all consultations that are still active. Locate the one you are looking for, then click 'View Consultation' to open it.
The 'Video Recordings' section is located along the right, under 'Patient Information'.
Step 3 - Click on the recording to download it to your workstation.
Note: once downloaded, it can be accessed by others who use your computer.
Option 2 - Consultation Archived
Step 1 - Click the 'Consultations' tab, then select 'Search for Consultations'.
Step 2 - Search using the available filters (in this case 'Archived' may be useful). When ready, click 'Search'.
Step 3 - Click on the consultation you wish to access to open it.
The 'Video Recordings' section is located along the right, under 'Patient Information'.
Step 4 - Click on the recording to download it to your workstation.
Note: Once downloaded, it can be accessed by others who use your computer.
