The host healthcare provider or other participants from the same virtual clinic can have participant(s) join by phone audio using the 'Dial In' feature.
- Participants may include a family member, caregiver or another healthcare provider who is sharing patient care.
- There can be multiple participants dialed into the video chat.
- All participants in the meeting will hear the dialed-in participant's phone ring and hear them answer.

Dialed in participants will be heard and can hear all others in the video.

They cannot see participants nor can they be seen.
Remember to inform the participant you are dialing in ahead of time, so they are aware and ready to answer the call.
Step 1 - After starting the video chat, click 'Dial In'.
Step 2 - Manually complete the fields:
- 'Participant's Display Name' (displayed to others in the video chat)
- 'Phone Number*' (remains hidden and is never shared)
Click 'Dial In Now'.
After a brief pause you will hear a ring tone as the system calls the participant. Your consultation screen will change to:
Once the phone participant answers, they will appear with a phone icon and the name you entered for them.
It will be up to the host to remove the participant from the call if:
- a voice mail or answering machine is picked up, or
- the phone participant does not answer
To do this, click the '3 dots' on the phone participant's tile or the 'Participants' tab, then click 'Remove' and 'Confirm'.
