As an additional layer of security when logging into your 'SK Virtual Visit' account, we have put in place 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) for all clinical users. Even if your password gets compromised, the hacker has to crack another security layer before they can access your account.
2FA is mandatory for all clinical account holders of 'SK Virtual Visit' and cannot be disabled.
Although 2FA supplements your password, it should not be viewed as a replacement to a strong password.
Each clinic member must have their own 'SK Virtual Visit' account
A personal cell phone number must be added when creating your account. Your cell phone number is never shared and is not used by the system for anything other than your 2FA code
After entering your email address and password to log into your account, you will be prompted to enter a verification code sent via text message to your personal mobile number. Once you enter the 2FA code, you will be granted access to your account
You will be prompted to enter your 2FA:
every 15 days
if you change your password
when your IP address changes (you use a different laptop/computer at a different location or outpost, your internet provider performs resets in the background, or your internet stops/restarts)
