Join a 'Video Meeting' You Are Invited To as a Participant/Guest

A healthcare provider may send you an invitation to join a video meeting with them. 

  • You may join these video meetings whether you have a 'SK Virtual Visit' account or not, as long as the meeting host allows you in.
  • You may join on a mobile device or a laptop/desktop.

The invitation includes:

  • meeting title
  • date
  • time
  • quick link (https://...)
  • meeting ID
  • meeting passcode

 

  • Option 1:  From the 'Home' screen  (after logging into your account)
  • Option 2:  Using the 'URL meeting link' provided in the invitation email  (no 'SK Virtual Visit' account required and no login needed if you have an account)
This article covers three ways to join:

 

Option 1 - 

From the 'Home' Screen When Logged Into Your 'SK Virtual Visit' Account

Step 1 - Go to the Log-in screen:

 Download and open the “SK Virtual Visit” APP

 Or, open your internet browser and go to https://virtualvisit.saskatchewan.ca/
If using a mobile device:
 Open your internet browser and go to https://virtualvisit.saskatchewan.ca/
If using a laptop/desktop:

 

Step 2 - Login with your email address and password.  If needed, refer to Zendesk article - 'Account Login and Logout'.

Step 3 - On the 'Home' screen, click 'Join a Meeting/Join Video Meeting'

Step 4 - Whenever prompted, click 'Allow' for both your camera and microphone for this website.  

Your prompt may differ slightly from these examples, depending on what device & browser you are using.

Step 5 - The 'Join a Meeting' screen:

  • If on the web on any device, you should see yourself in video and see the microphone volume bar moving.  Note: you are not yet in the video meeting.
  • You may test your audio and video equipment by clicking ‘Test Your Connection/ Test Audio and Video’. The test takes approximately 1 minute, then will provide results.
  • Type in the Meeting ID and Passcode manually from the information provided in your email or SMS text message. 
  • As you are logged in, it is not necessary to add your name to identify yourself, as the system pulls this from your account information.
  • It is recommended you leave your microphone and camera ‘ON’ - you may turn the camera OFF and/or mute yourself once in the video, if desired.
  • If you want your camera/microphone settings and name saved for next time, check ‘Remember my preferences’.

Step 6 - When ready to join the video meeting, click 'Join/Join Meeting'.  If you are not part of the meeting host's clinic, you will have to be admitted into the meeting.

Note:  If you drop from the meeting or 'Leave Call', you may re-enter the meeting, as long as it is still active and has not been 'Ended'.  If needed, see article - Re-Start With a New Video Meeting / Re-Join an Active Video Meeting

 

Option 2 - 

Using the URL Meeting Link Provided in the Email

Step 1:  Using the same device you are using to attend your video meeting, open the email or SMS text message and click the 'https://...' URL meeting link provided.

 If the quick link does not work:

  1. Highlight the URL meeting link information:  Hover your mouse cursor over the link and click the left mouse button until the entire line is highlighted
  2. Copy it to your clipboard:  Press Ctrl+C (Windows) or Command+C (Mac) or right-click on your mouse and choose 'Copy'
  3. Paste the meeting URL link:  Open your web browser, click into the address line, press Ctrl+V (Windows) or Command+V (Mac) or right-click on your mouse and choose 'Paste'

Step 2 - When using your mobile device, you may see with the following green screen.  If you do not see this screen, skip to 'Step 3' below.  If you see this screen, choose either:

Step 4 - The 'Join a Meeting' screen:

  • Add your name to identify yourself - REQUIRED.
  • It is recommended you leave your microphone and camera ‘ON’ - you may turn the camera OFF and/or mute yourself once in the video, if desired.
  • If you want your camera/microphone settings and name saved for next time, check ‘Remember my preferences’.

Step 5 - When ready to join the video meeting, click 'Join/Join Meeting'.

Step 6 - As a security measure, you must be allowed access.  Wait to be admitted into the video meeting. 

If declined, you will receive the following message.  If this is a mistake, contact the meeting host to have another invitation sent to you.

If you drop from the meeting by mistake or due to poor internet, you may re-enter it by again clicking the ‘https://…’ quick link in your email, as long as the meeting is still active.

 

Option 3 - 

From the 'SK Virtual Visit' Log-In Screen

Step 1 - Go to the Log-in screen:

 Download and open the “SK Virtual Visit” APP

 Or, open your internet browser and go to https://virtualvisit.saskatchewan.ca/
If using a mobile device:
 Open your internet browser and go to https://virtualvisit.saskatchewan.ca/
If using a laptop/desktop:

 

Step 2 - If you have downloaded the 'SK Virtual Visit' APP, the first time you access it, you may see this green screen.  Click the 'Log In or Sign Up' button.  

Step 3 - Do not enter an email address or password and do not log in.  At the bottom of the screen, click 'Join Meeting Now/Join Meeting'.
