Join a 'Video Meeting' You Are Invited To as a Participant/Guest

A healthcare provider may send you an invitation to join a video meeting with them. 

  • You may join these video meetings whether you have a SK Virtual Visit account or not, as long as the meeting host allows you in.
  • You may join on a mobile device or a laptop/desktop.

The invitation includes:

  • meeting title
  • date
  • time
  • quick link (https://...)
  • meeting ID
  • meeting passcode

 

  • Option 1:  From the 'Home' screen  (after logging into your account)
  • Option 3: From the 'Log-In' screen (no need to login)
This article covers three ways to join:

 

Option 1 - From the 'Home' Screen When Logged In

Step 1 - Go to the Log-in screen:

 Download and open the “SK Virtual Visit” APP

  • Apple App Store for Apple mobile cell phone and tablet products  
  • Google Play Store for Android mobile cell phone and tablet products
 Or, open your internet browser and go to https://virtualvisit.saskatchewan.ca/
If using a mobile device:
 Open your internet browser and go to https://virtualvisit.saskatchewan.ca/
If using a laptop/desktop:

Step 2 - Login with your email address and password.  If needed, refer to article - 'Account Login and Logout'.

Step 3 - On the Home screen, click Join a Meeting/Join Video Meeting.

Step 4 - Whenever prompted, click Allow for both your camera and microphone.  

Your prompt may differ slightly from these examples, depending on what device & browser you are using.

Step 5 - The Join Meeting screen - you are not yet in the video meeting:

  • If on the web on any device, you should see yourself in video and see the microphone volume bar moving.
  • You may test your audio and video equipment by clicking Test Your Connection/ Test Audio and Video. The test takes approximately 1 minute, then will provide results.
  • Type in the Meeting ID and Passcode manually from the information provided in your email or SMS text message. 
  • As you are logged in, it is not necessary to add your name to identify yourself, as the system pulls this from your account information.
  • It is recommended you leave your microphone and camera ‘ON’ - you may turn the camera OFF and/or mute yourself once in the video, if desired.
  • If you want your camera/microphone settings and name saved for next time, check Remember my preferences.

Step 6 - When ready to join the video meeting, click Join/Join Meeting.  If you are not part of the meeting host's clinic, you will have to wait to be admitted into the meeting.

 

Option 2 - Using the Meeting Link Provided in the Email

Step 1:  Using the same device you are using to attend your video meeting, open the email and click the 'https://...' meeting link provided to you.

 If the meeting link does not work:

  1. Highlight the link information:  Hover your mouse cursor over the meeting link and click the left mouse button until the entire line is highlighted
  2. Copy it to your clipboard:  Press Ctrl+C (Windows) or Command+C (Mac) or right-click on your mouse and choose 'Copy'
  3. Paste the link:  Open your web browser, click into the address line, press Ctrl+V (Windows) or Command+V (Mac) or right-click on your mouse and choose 'Paste'

Step 2 - When using your mobile device, you may see with the following green screen.  If you do not see this screen, skip to 'Step 3' below.  If you see this screen, choose either:

  • Continue on Web, OR
  • Tap either Apple App Store or Google Play Store and download the SK Virtual Visit app.    

Step 3 - Whenever prompted, click Allow for both your camera and microphone.

Step 4 - The Join Meeting screen - you are not yet in the video meeting:

  • If on the web on any device, you should see yourself in video and see the microphone volume bar moving.

  • The Meeting ID and Passcode will have automatically generated from the information in your email or SMS text message. 
  • Add your name to identify yourself - REQUIRED.
  • It is recommended you leave your microphone and camera ‘ON’ - you may turn the camera OFF and/or mute yourself once in the video, if desired.
  • If you want your camera/microphone settings and name saved for next time, check ‘Remember my preferences’.

Step 5 - When ready to join the video meeting, click Join/Join Meeting.  If you are not part of the meeting host's clinic, you will have to wait to be admitted into the meeting.

 

Option 3 - From the 'SK Virtual Visit' Log-In Screen

Step 1 - Go to the Log-in screen:

 Download and open the SK Virtual Visit APP

  • Apple App Store for Apple mobile cell phone and tablet products  
  • Google Play Store for Android mobile cell phone and tablet products

If using a mobile device:

If using a laptop/desktop:

Step 2 - If you have downloaded the SK Virtual Visit APP, the first time you access it, you may see this green screen.  Click the Log In or Sign Up button.

Step 3 - Do not enter an email address or password, create an account or log in.  At the bottom of the screen, click Join Meeting Now/Join Meeting.

Step 4 - Whenever prompted, you should Allow both your camera and microphone.
